The fastest circumnavigation by bicycle is 194 days and 17 hours, and was achieved by Mark Beaumont (UK) who cycled a distance of 29,445.81 km (19,267.63 miles) and travelled over 40,100 km in total (including transfers). The journey started and finished at Paris (France) from 5 August 2007 to 15 February 2008 and covered Europe, Pakistan, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
